Dear Fellow Students, Colleagues, Junior Doctors, and Congress Participants, Ladies and Gentlemen,

It is with great pleasure that we welcome you to the 31st Scientific Congress of Hellenic Medical Students (S.C.H.M.S.) and the 19th International Forum of Medical Students and Junior Doctors, which will take place on April 11-13, 2025, in Thessaloniki, at the imposing and modern venue of the Thessaloniki Concert Hall.

Following the successful organization of S.C.H.M.S. by the Crete Chapter of the Scientific Society of Medical Students of Greece, the baton for hosting this prestigious medical event now passes to the Thessaloniki Chapter, after a six-year interval.

As this year’s S.C.H.M.S. officially enters its fourth decade of historical progress, it not only has the responsibility to maintain the high standards set by previous congresses but also to advance existing elements by integrating new features that will enhance the participants' experience.

To this end, we will work diligently to enrich the program with interactive lectures and innovative workshops, boost participation from our fellow students and delegates from Greece and abroad, and draw inspiration through guidance and interaction with distinguished scientists, Professors, and Doctors. Our goal is to also organize the 29th Medical Knowledge Olympiad in both Greek and English, along with live broadcasts of selected surgeries, while pioneering competitions with unique prizes will also be a highlight of the program. Finally, we will ensure the organization of engaging cultural events that will provide participants with opportunities to connect with one another and gain insights from various perspectives.

Our vision is for the 31st S.C.M.H.S. and the 19th International Forum to become a medical congress with nationwide and international impact, offering participants the chance to expand their knowledge horizons, engage in productive idea exchange, and reflect deeply. Above all, we aim to create a multi-experiential event that will cultivate the future generation of doctors in a holistic manner because Medicine—like humanity—is an entity that cannot be compartmentalized.

With great anticipation and excitement, we look forward to welcoming you to this three-day landmark event of our student years, on April 11-13, 2025, in Thessaloniki.
