Special
Projects

Dear fellow students and conference participants,

With great joy and enthusiasm, we welcome you, for the first time in our conference’s history, to the Special Projects of the 31st SCHMS!

This innovative team, through its projects, aims to connect medicine with other sciences and aspects of daily life, fostering engagement among us and providing opportunities for enjoyment. Focusing on showcasing the interdisciplinary nature of medicine and promoting interaction among students not only via the science but also through the social field we aim to encourage free expression and creativity, noble competition and collaboration, as well as social awareness and volunteerism. We invite you to take part in a broad spectrum of activities—from sports tournaments and escape rooms, photography and entrepreneurship competitions, to informative projects on issues like mental health and bone marrow donation, and even a mock trial!

We look forward to meeting you in Thessaloniki from April 11-13, 2025! Feel free to contact us at projects@31esfie.gr for anything you may need.

On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 31st SCHMS,

With respect,
Ilias Michailidis
Head of Special Projects Team

Photography Contest – 31st SCHMS & 19th International Forum
"Medicine through the lens of students"

As part of the 31st Scientific Congress of Hellenic Medical Students (SCHMS) & 19th International Forum, the Special Projects team is organizing a Photography Contest with the theme "Highlights of a Medical Student."

Medicine is not just a science—it is a daily experience filled with challenges, inspiration, and moments worth capturing. From the first clinical encounters to endless hours of studying and valuable moments of camaraderie, every photograph tells a story.

The contest is open to medical students who love photography or simply wish to share their own perspective on life inside and outside medical school. Through the lens, medicine meets art, offering a new dimension to the experience of future healthcare professionals.

The winning photograph will be selected by fellow students, who will vote for the one they believe best represents the theme. The winner will be awarded during the closing ceremony of the congress and will receive a camera as a prize.

For more details on the participation guidelines, please refer to the contest guide.

Capture the moments that matter to you and share your story through the art of photography!
